“A small shift in a huge organization can lead to significant impact.” Gib Bulloch
Finding your purpose can feel like losing your mind. This is something intrapreneur Gib Bulloch had to learn the hard way. For over a decade, Gib led a corporate “guerrilla movement” within one of the world’s largest global consulting organizations, Accenture. Against the odds, he created a not-for-profit inside one of the most profit-driven corporations in the world.
Gib changed the system from within. And he paid the price. It ultimately cost him his job, his health and perhaps even his sanity as he found himself the unlikely resident of a psychiatric hospital in Glasgow. You can read all about it in his book “The Intrapreneur – Confessions of a Corporate Insurgent,” an insightful critique of the “craziness” of today’s business environment – and a call to action for a new breed of social activists working within.
Some of these social activists, including Gib, founded the League of Intrapreneurs. The League is a global learning community of intrapreneurs and catalysts driving change from within. Members are prototyping the future of work, cultivating cultures that are more authentic, innovative, collaborative, and, ultimately, more meaningful.
The League was co-created and is supported by the BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt. Its goal is to unlock the human potential inside the most influential organizations to create a more prosperous, equitable, and sustainable world in line with the UN 2030 Agenda.
Gib Bulloch is a member of the BMW Foundation Responsible Leaders Network. He is a speaker, writer, and facilitator with a unique perspective on the relationship between business, society, and the self. With over 25 years in the corporate world, he now works with organizations, individuals, and teams to develop a sense of responsibility at both a personal and collective level to create meaningful social impact.
