Social Innovation
Social innovation is the creative process through which effective, sustainable solutions to social problems are developed. It is driven by the need to find new ways of resolving the societal challenges faced by a group or community. In recent years, social innovation has often stemmed from collaborations between businesses, governments, nonprofits, and those affected by the problem. The resulting cross-sector relationships have spurred inclusive, systemic innovations and enabled the emergence of new forms of social value.
