The CEMEX-TEC Award aims to recognize high-impact work around the globe. The company has four categories available to register your project for if you would like to participate:
1. Social Entrepreneurs
Are you an entrepreneur? Does your project aim to generate a systemic change? If your project has been implemented for at least one year, you should consider applying for the Social Entrepreneurs category of The CEMEX-TEC Award.
Prize:
- 15 international winners: 1 week bootcamp training led by Ashoka and MassChallenge.
- 3 first places: $ 10,000 USD seed capital each.
2. Transforming Communities
Are you an upper, or postgraduate student? Do you have a proposal for the transformation of a community? If so, you should consider applying to the Transforming Communities category.
Prize:
- 1st place México and 1st place international: $ 25,000 USD each for the implementation of the proposal.
- 1 week bootcamp training, directed by MakeSense.
3. Community Entrepreneurship
Are you an organizaiton, foundation, cooperative or civial association? Do you have a community-oriented social transformation project? If your project has been implemented for at least one year, you should consider applying for the Community Entrepreneurship category.
Prize:
- 10 international winners: bootcamp experience of 1 week lead by Unreasonable México
- 3 first places: $ 10,000 USD seed capital each.
4. Collaborative Action
Are you an organization that works through intersectional alliances, involving at least three sectors of society? Has your social impact project been implemented through intersectional alliances, and, has it been implemented for at least one year? If so, you should consider applying for the Collaborative Action category.
Prize:

1st place México and 1st place international: all expenses paid trip to México to receive the Award.
The closing of applications for The CEMEX-TEC Award is May 31, 2019. Projects will then be evaluated, and winners will be announced August 19, 2019.
